I was invited by The Las Colinas-Irving Chamber of Commerce along with Sue Utter from Intelligent office, Jo Ann Going from Glory House Catering, David Fiegenschue from Fig Design to attend a great presentation about “Social media and its effects on the evolving Media Landscape”. I attended a very informative and packed event hosted by IBM. I met many old friends from my old days with IBM, it was a great learning and catching up event.

The business climate is changing rapidly, and success will come to people and organizations that respond to change quickly and effectively. Our way of working has become a powerful means to optimize business performance in this environment. But we can’t simply work harder or spend more on resources. We need to work smarter. It took awhile but we finaly connected met at Pei Wei for lunch, John Cooper has retired, Frank Ault still at IBM, he and I still meet every once in awhile for lunch @ Verand Greek Cafe and Mark Edmonds my x manager who’s also still working for IBM and I meet with him every once in a while. The discussion was about our current situation and what we are doing with our lives

I worked for IBM for seven years made greate friend and had a great experience, and now that I run my own company EBM which has become and IBM business developer recently, I am working on doing business with IBM and IBM Business Partners.

EBM Corp is a search engines marketing and optimization company, helping business grow and prosper their online businesses.

It was a rainy Saturday here in Dallas TX, so spending the day in a classroom learning about Media Marketing was not bad but what was really great is that it was presented by the very exciting and energetic Shawne Duperon. The seminar was arranged by Dr. Gilles LaMarche Vice President @ Parker Seminars & Development.

It was an enlightening class for me, in one and a half day I learned about the media more than I’ve known all my life. Shawne painted a clear picture of what goes behind the seen to make the news and what, when and how we “business people” should do to pitch our stories and have the media gods listen to us and grant us our 15 minutes of fame.

Before this class I had nothing “well, almost nothing” good to say about the media but after attending Shawne’s class now I know how to make the media on my side. I will start working on my pitch to the media to promote EBM Corp search engines marketing and optimization services. Irving Community Television Network ICTN T V has done an interview with me last year regarding our search engines marketing and optimization services, I wish I had Shawne’s class before I’ve done that interview.

I enjoyed meeting and connecting with Ford Saeks from Prime Concepts, Aliesa George from Center Works, Greg Finch President of No Debt University, Jim Fortin with Mind Authority, Inc., Karen Underwood with Underwood Speakers Bureau, Elisabeth Fayt author of the book “Paving it Foreward”, Dr. Elisabeth Taylor, Michelle with Publicity Results, Mike Merrill and Dr. Kara Nania with Advanced Family Chiropractic.

On Tuesday May 12th Charlene Hostin Sales Manager represented EBM Corp at the eWomen Networking event and here what she had to say about it.

“What an awesome networking meeting and luncheon I attended this month in Colleyville. There were about 170 business women in attendance. This meeting had it all going on. When I first arrived to the meeting there were display booths set up by some of the businesses that had participated. There were raffle tickets being purchased for different benefits. Also, they even had a cash wine bar set up for those who were interested. The meeting was held at the Piazza Center in the Villages of Colleyville and what a beautiful setting. There were several ladies in attendance that I knew which was great to see and there were many I did not know which was great to meet and get to know some of them. During lunch I was able to meet and talk to most of the women at my table. eWomen Network has a unique way of giving everyone an opportunity to introduce yourself and give your one minute business pitch to the people at your table. Some of the women at my table were founding members of  eWomen Network, Michelle Martin, owner of Metro woman magazine, and Ann Nerney with Allstate.  Other ladies at my table were, Angie Metzger, Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, and Kellie Blumberg with F.A.I.T.H. (Fashion Accessories).

Tish Troutman is the eWomen NE Tarrant County Founding Manager and was responsible for  putting the event together, along with a team of other founding members. What a great job! And, Sue Utter with Intelligent Office, was there right behind Tish trying to keep her and the meeting on track with the time. You go girl!

The special speaker of the day was, Julie Niehoff with Constant Contact and she gave us some great tips and points regarding email marketing.  After all, that’s her expertise!  There was more networking going on after the speaker I understand, but unfortunately, I did not get to participate because I had leave a little early due to a prior obligation. I was enjoying the event so much, I hated to leave. The price for attending this meeting cost a little more than we pay for other networking groups, but, it was well worth the time and money. Great meeting and I am looking forward to future ones.”

Today the EBM team Wael Salama and Lindsay Stone had a meeting with the CRM Studios team Marco, Steve and Tom to discuss search engines marketing and optimization solutions for CRM website. The discussion revolved around utilizing EBM Corp talent and experience in implementing search engines marketing solutions utilizing blogs and the social media networks sites i.e. twitter, facebook, myspace, etc. to promote CRM Sutdio site. EBM Corp also provided some tips on how to start using those social media sites and how to start blogging along with getting some domain names related to their line of services. Today I had lunch with Jake Pavelka and Dave Gordon from Prime Star Transportation,We met at La Madelein on MacArthur and Royal Ln iRVING TX. Prime Star Transportation is planning to take their services to the next level and planning on targetting corporate clients. We discussed their current website and their existing content and how EBM Corp can transform their website into a more dynamic, informative and “self suffecient Sales Person website”.

On Friday May 1st Dr. Lida Aghdam – Natural Clinic Balance had her book signing “Doctor of No Medicine” at her clinic. Many people showed up and they were very excited about the book. They were waiting anxiously for this book, since it’s been delayed for two weeks due to some printing issues.

Sue Utter from Intelligent Office and Tish Troutman from eWomen Network were there and we all got our books signed by Dr. Lida Aghdam. Sue, Tish and I left for dinner at Café Medi and then Dr. Aghdam joined us, we had great Arabic dinner “Falafel, Hummos, Baba Ghannouj and Pita Bread etc. and of course the girls wanted to try the Hooka and we all took turns. While there my friend Beth the owner of Veranda Greek Café called me to invite me to dinner at her restaurant in Las Colinas, but I convinced her to come join us at Café Medi. It was a great evening, great dinner, great conversation. We left the restaurant around 9:00pm after a very busy and hectic week, we all deserved a nice and relaxing weekend.

EBM Corp is currently working on the redesign of Veranda Greek Cafe website. EBM Corp will create dynamic, compelling marketing programs utilizing the correct keywords and drive targeted traffic directly to Veranda Greek Cafe website, enabling it to maximize brand recognition and enhance its profitability by a substantial amount.

This afternoon I attended Tish Troutman Managing Director North East Tarrant County Chapter – eWomen Network had a Ribbon Cutting event. The event was hosted at the intelligent office by Sue Utter and her staff. The event was catered by Darlene Sansone from Party Angels. Some of the people attended this event were Marvin Bond and Vanessa Segovia from the Irving Chamber of Commerce, Jo Ann Goin from Receptions on the Main, Jill Martinez from the Irving Journal newspaper, Linda Obrien from Obrien Real Estate Group, Trish O’Connor from the Keg Steakhouse & Bar, Laura Friedman from Mighty Geeks, David Gordon and Jake from Prime Star Transportation and Jeff Slotnick from Sam’s Club provided the cake. I had an interesting conversation with Heather Cade and found out that she teaches Salsa dancing. At the end of the event Tish and I discussed our joint effort marketing strategies and decided to meet next week to start implementing those strategies.

I had a meeting this morning with Jo Ann Goin to discuss her search engines marketing and website optimization needs. Jo Ann runs a wedding receptions business www.receptionsonthemain.com also runs a catering business www.gloryhousecatering.com in addition to that Jo Ann is a very active member of the Irving Chamber of commerce and runs the small business committee meeting on the 2^nd Tuesday of every month. Jo Ann also hosts the chamber’s business networking meetings “Coffee Break” the 2^nd Thursday of every month. At the end of the meeting Jo Ann decided to become a client and utilize EBM Corp SEM services. EBM will start implementing customized SEM strategies for Jo Ann’s websites and help her reach more clients.
